Tears For the Lost

We met a lovely young couple today.  They are on the way to start ta new life together... they want to spend it for Jesus. Somewhere in the talk of travel, life and the future there were tears for lost souls, tears for a lost nation, tears out of a desire to know God's will and to it.

I think surrendered hearts are the only ones in which God can plant those tears. I think God will use them. I was glad to know them. They lifted my heart in hope.

It's All Bigger Than Me . . .

"Who can find a virtuous woman?
For her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her,
So that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life."
                       Proverbs 31:10-12

In such a wife the heart of her husband may safely confide, for he finds in her love and unselfish affection treasure so vast, that, let his circumstances be as they may, he can never be in poverty.  Her influence is for good and not evil all the days of her life.  It is a lovely picture of the mutual relationship of Christ and the Church: the latter owning Him as Head and delighting to love and serve Him; while He finds His joy in her and beholds in her an inheritance of untold value?

"But made himself of no reputation..." (Christ-Our Example)

Recently, I have had some interesting questions pushed my way...

I think I need to ask the LORD to help me in understanding "testimony and reputation."  It seems one we are to guard.  One we are to surrender.

If I am to obey, I need to know the difference.
